Hack: Make your fragrance last all night!

Hack: Make your fragrance last all night!

Are you invited to a special event and want to smell amazing ...ALL ...NIGHT...LONG?

Our experts at Fragrapedia Haus have narrowed it down to some quick hacks so try to make you perfume last all night!

Hack #1: Timing

Spray your fragrance right after you shower and before you get dressed. The moisture on your skin will help lock in the scent, as this will prevent your perfume from staining your delicate clothes or jewelry. Don’t rush to put on clothes after you apply moisturizer. You need time to allow the moisturizer to be absorbed, or else it’s just rubbed off by your clothes. Give yourself a good five minutes before you get dressed.

Hack #2: Lotion

Rub an ointment like Vaseline or lotion on your pulse points before spraying your perfume. The ointment will hold the fragrance and lock it into your skin longer than if you were to spray it onto dry skin. You can also pour some of your favourite perfume into an unscented lotion and use that in designated areas.

Hack #3: Placement

Pulse points are important. The scent will last longer if you choose a couple of target points. Warm areas will help diffuse the fragrance across your entire body; your inner wrist, inside your elbows, around your neck, below your midriff, behind your knees, on your ankles, and on your calves. Especially, spraying your legs will allow the scent to rise throughout the day.

Hack #4: Application

Dab the fragrance on your wrists after spraying. Do not rub your wrists together, you’ll force the top scent to disappear faster, and as a result, make your fragrance not last as long.

Hack #5: In Your Hair

Spray the perfume on your brush before running it through your hair. Your hair will be lightly scented, undamaged, and smell great all night long! Spraying an alcohol-based fragrance directly onto your hair will dry it out. There are also specifically designed perfumes for hair to make it smell better in between washes that you should consider investing in.

Hack #6: Clothes

Line your dresser drawers with tissue paper and spray them with your favorite scent in advance, this will make the scent on your clothes last longer and smell amazing.

Hack #7 Layering

If you want to wear multiple perfumes together, spray the stronger scent first and then top it with the lighter fragrance. That way, the first fragrance doesn’t overpower the second. If you’re going for a lighter scent, then spray your perfume in the air and slowly walk into the cloud of mist. The spray will evenly distribute across your body and leave you with a hint of perfume for occasions when you don’t want to smell as strong.

Hack #8 Plan Ahead

Plan ahead by carrying a travel-size bottle with you for quick touch-ups throughout the night or cotton balls sprayed with your perfume.
